Yorkshire Terrier
( Added:Tue Oct 21 2003)

Yorkshire terriers are energetic, assertive, demanding toy dogs with large-dog attitudes. They are responsive obedience students but want to rule at home, and even larger dogs will defer to them. In general, they get along with other animals. They are fine with gentle children over about eight years old, especially if socialized with them at an early age. Yorkies bark to announce the arrival of strangers but are usually friendly.
